The problem

Directing camp today is very different than it was 10 or 20 years ago.

Challenges are coming from all directions. The responsibility and stakes seem greater. Success looks different.

Nick has been an invaluable asset as a coach, offering thoughtful guidance and creative solutions for all aspects of camp. His ability to provide advice while acting as a trusted sounding board has not only strengthened our operations but has made me a more confident leader. Nick's insight, experience, and supportive approach have truly elevated my ability to navigate challenges and enhance the camp experience.

The solution

What exactly is executive coaching for camp directors?

Think of it as having an experienced camp leader in your corner, year-round.

Every other week, we meet one-on-one and focus entirely on you, your camp, and what you want to accomplish. You set the goals. Nick helps you think them through, bring new ideas to the table, solve problems, and turn those goals into action.

You know your camp better than anyone. Nick's role is to bring experience, perspective, ideas, and accountability to help you make it even stronger.
Executive coaching means:
A co-pilot.

Someone who has founded and directed a camp and understands the decisions, challenges, and pressures that come with leading one.

Ideas from beyond your own camp.

Through Nick's work with many different camps, he can bring strategies, approaches, and ideas you may not have considered, and help determine what could work for your camp.

Practical problem-solving.

When something isn't working, Nick helps you dig into why and figure out what to do next.

A confidential space for the person at the top.

Camp leadership can be stressful and, at times, isolating. It helps to have someone who understands that experience and is focused exclusively on helping you succeed.

Turning goals into action.

Whether you're focused on enrollment, finances, staffing, facilities, leadership, program, or something else, Nick keeps your priorities moving forward.

A place to brainstorm.

Bring the half-formed idea, the ambitious goal, the problem you haven't solved, or the decision you've been going back and forth on. Nick and you will work through it together.

Someone who will push your thinking.

Not just a listening ear, but a thought and idea partner who will ask questions, offer suggestions, and help you see opportunities you might otherwise miss.
